Franco will be driving the development of our service offerings, including the use of our cost-benefit analysis (CBA) model, to help companies quantify the social and economic value of their innovations within the prostate cancer pathway.

We’re delighted to welcome Franco Vegliani to the Proven Connect team as our new Senior Data Analyst. Franco joined us in July 2025 and will play a key role in expanding our service offering capacity, using data-driven approaches to help companies push forward their innovations. We asked Franco a few questions to get to know him—and his role—a little better.

Franco holds a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Glasgow, where also he spent three years researching the photobiology of plant circadian cycles under drought stress. Since 2022, he’s worked in healthcare data, combining scientific rigour with analytical insight.

When asked what drew him to Proven Connect and Prostate Cancer Research, Franco was clear: “the chance to do work that has a more impactful effect on patients.” It’s a simple but powerful motivation, one that echoes across PCR.

In his new role, Franco will be diving deep into the charity’s data assets, Prostate Progress and the Cost-Benefit Analysis model, uncovering insights that can shape future strategies. “As Senior Data Analyst, I will be interrogating vast amounts of data and using the answers I discover to drive future strategies for the charity,” he explains.

So, what part of the job is he most excited about? “Engaging in data-driven projects and flexing my analytical skills to find creative solutions,” Franco says. And looking ahead, his goal over the next six months is to lay down a strong foundation for Proven Connect’s analytical work— “normalising the workflow and standardising the outcomes,” as he puts it.

Outside of work, Franco’s interests are as eclectic as they are energetic. He’s recently taken up Historical European Martial Arts—focusing on medieval German dagger and longsword techniques—and enjoys (sometimes questionable) culinary experiments. A lesser-known fact? He spent three years as part of a circus troupe.

We’re excited to have Franco on board as we continue to grow our data capabilities and support innovation in prostate cancer research.
